"Suhas is a very unassuming person and transcends all barriers to connect with you, in a very reassuring way. He is practical in his approach, at the same time encouraging, making sure we make and raise our goals every time. More so, he teaches you to believe in yourself in a way you never did before. His guidance is truly a mind-opener." Suhas, truly, it’s been a pleasure being associated to you.

Adjectives would be less to describe Mr. Suhas Talwar. I came into the contact of this person in Infosys. He was my trainer in Infosys. He is an amazing motivational speaker his views, thoughts and ideas are fantastic. I appreciate the way he inspires and motivates people. His
quality of changing a person's inferior complex to superior complex is stupendous. Just want to share one small thing if you are in his company your attitude would be:
'' To see is to know.
'' To desire is too able.
'' To dare is to have.

BJP could get a shock: Belgaum may see a surprise

11:31 AM Posted by ukmad

The campaigning is the final week as Belgaum will vote on 23rd and all the candidates are trying to woo the voters by all the means possible.
Congress is playing the hit song ‘Jai Ho’ to catch the minds of the voters and BJP is playing the ‘Bhai ho’. The latest trend this time has been SMS and internet. The giant screen on the Nucleus mall is displaying ads of all the 3 main candidates in the fray.
The BJP is trying to woo the Marathi voter who is against Angadi for his U turn on the Safforn flag issue and BJP is trying to woo the Marathi Voters by playing Marathi songs like Garja Maharashtra Maza tunes changed with BJP words. The congress is not really doing this kind of campaigning.

The JD(s) on a smaller note has been organizing padyatras and meetings in different areas on small scale and meeting one to one. The candidates are having small meetings in different areas.
The BJP is in such a precarious situation right now and all this is thanks to its candidate Suresh Angadi who plunged into the Saffron flag issue of the corporation so that he will get support of the Marathi voters but this has boomeranged on him as the Kannada activists are still demanding and protesting against Anagdi’s candidature and also the fact the both the MES and KRV have openly asked people not to vote for Angadi.

In the last election the 2.25 lakh Marathi voters played a vital role in victory of Anagdi and this time if these votes don’t come BJP’s way a surprise is in store.

When this blog spoke to a group of Marathi voters, they said this time they have not yet decided what they will do. One person added that he might just skip voting only this time, as he felt he has no good choice. Kudachi’s support to Angadi was welcome wish for Angadi but it was not heartily welcomed by the BJP, sources say.

This is the best time to get some donations and sources say this is going on. The leaders are also making promises to solve the problems of the people but no one is mentioning a point- point to answer to a problem, it’s all in vague, “if we are elected we will solve your problems” [your means us or THEIRS has to be seen]
Could Elephant of BSP surprise, may not be as no campaigning has been seen profoundly in the city.

The JD(s) candidate A B Patil yesterday said that Angadi is out of the race and he was ahead of his opponents and his closet rival was Amarsinh Patil.
Still there is a week’s time for doing the last minute calculations of who will vote where and what has to be done.

On this very site the mock poll for voting the MP is showing a lead to the BJP, but as this is voted by non voters (who will not vote physically) spread across the world this in reality could be a different scenario. The Rural voters will be the chunk of the voting and as Belgaum has normally seen a voter turnout of about 60% the same can be expected this time also.

The young generation or the first time voters might even have their say. We all speak of equality etc but when it comes to election Language, Caste do play a role and that cannot be denied.
In short, this is could be close fight and winning percentages could be lower than last time. But to know who will be our MP we will have to wait till May 16, and before that, “WE ALL NEED TO VOTE”. Be it anyone we need to go out and VOTE and make our vote count. You don’t like a candidate vote against him instead of not Voting. Well many won’t agree to this but as per the provisions of the present law this is the best we can do.

So vote on April 23, don’t forget, all your holiday activities should start after you have voted. So the first thing in the morning at 7 am GO OUT AND VOTE. I WILL BE AT THE POLLING BOOTH AT 7 am to cast my vote; you know what even my vote could make the difference.

KRV protests at BSY’s rally

10:21 AM Posted by ukmad

Vedike's women's wing protested against the BJP by showing black flags to chief minister B S Yeddyurappa while he was campaigning for Angadi at Khasbag. Vedike has been opposing Angadi's candidature ever since he supported Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti and tried to hoist a saffron flag atop the new building of Belgaum City Corporation.
After the protests began a few leaders approached them silent then but when they still resisted the Police caught 8 of them. BSY promised to make Belgaum the second capital and once that is done Belgaumites would have no more reasons to complain, he added.

KAIVALYA YOGA MANDIR helping Belgaum to live HEALTHY & DISCIPLINED LIFE

1:15 PM Posted by ukmad

In my endeavor to get you stories from all fields here is one which will help you lead a healthy & disciplined life, KAIVALYA YOGA MANDIR.

As everyone is well aware, YOGA is an ancient science developed by our forefathers, thousands of years ago, so that mankind could lead a very HEALTHY & DISCIPLINED LIFE, both physically and mentally. Unfortunately, over the years, they seem to have ignored this great science.

YOGAMAHIRISHI HANAMANTRAO SAWANT

They sincerely feel that interest in YOGA has to be revived amongst the citizens and it is with this intention and with the inspiration drawn from Yogamahirishi Late Shri Hanmantrao Savant, they formed a public institution, KAIVALYA YOGA MANDIR, duly registered under the   Societies Act, 1960.

BRIEF HISTORY of KAIVALYA YOGA MANDIR

An informal group of Yoga enthusiasts (all disciples of Shri Hanmantrao Savant), under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Vijay Majali, started the regular practice of Yoga in 1978 at Shri Ram Mandir, Tilakwadi, Belgaum. As time passed by, our family of Yoga enthusiasts grew by leaps and bounds. In next to no time many ladies started evincing interest and hence an exclusive batch for ladies was started, ably led by Mrs. Shoba Majali. The strength increased to such an extent that the premises of Shri Ram Mandir was insufficient and hence the thought of having our own building, germinated in the minds of all the members. kaivalya

Due to the good offices of Shri Prabhakar Kore, M.P., they were allotted about 5 gunthas of land by BUDA on which our building stands, today. Having got the land, they approached the philanthropic citizens of Belgaum for donations and the response was overwhelming. Not even in their dreams had they imagined that they would be able to collect so much money, in a comparatively short period of time. Our efforts were further boosted by Mr. Vijay (Bandu) Pusalkar (a worthy son of Belgaum now residing in Pune), who very generously donated a sum of Rs. 3,00,000/- towards the building fund. They also received a very generous donation of Rs.1,00,000/- from Mrs. Manorama Kulkarni.  Another booster, to our efforts, came from Shri Narayanrao Tarale, the then MLA of Belgaum, who sanctioned a sum of Rs. 3,00,000/- from the  Local Area Development Fund. Thus, with the good wishes of all, the building was completed in JANUARY 2000. Since then, Yoga is regularly practiced at the Hall. On an average, almost 150 people practise Yoga everyday at the Hall.

      ACTIVITIES

Their main objective is to create awareness about Yoga, amongst the citizens of Belgaum, they have organized several YOGA SHIBIRS by inviting stalwarts in the field of Yoga to conduct  camps , on various aspects of Yoga, in Belgaum.

 Prominent among them are

                                   1)   Padmashri SADASHIVRAO NIMBALKAR from MUMBAI

                                   2)   Dr. DHANANJAY  GUNDE from KOLHAPUR.

                                   3)   Shri  SHRIKRISHNA VYAVAHARE from THANE

                                   4)   Shri  VINOD SAMPRASAD  from PUNE.

With the active participation of prominent DOCTORS from PRABHAKAR KORE’S KLE hospital, they organised THREE (03) camps on REVERSAL OF HEART DISEASES.

The doctors who guided these camps are Dr. MAHADEV DIXIT, Dr. (Mrs.) MADHURI DIXIT,                                 Dr. (Mrs.) NEETA DESHPANDE, Dr. SURESH PATTED, and Dr. PRABHU HALKATTI.

The doctors explained, in detail, the various causes of HEART DISEASES and how one can safeguard himself from these diseases. Their scientific knowledge about the disease was combined with various YOGIC PRACTISES for the benefit of the people who attended the camps. Several aspects such as LIFESTYLE and DIET were discussed and explained. In order to OBJECTIVELY & SCIENTIFICALLY assess the effect of YOGA on the disease, several tests were conducted on the participants, before the start of the camps and the same tests were repeated at the conclusion of the camps. It was indeed very heartening to observe that there was a marked improvement in all the parameters tested, thus proving the efficacy of YOGA in the treatment of heart diseases.

The Ladies wing, under the leadership of Mrs. Shobha Majali, is also very active in the pursuit of their objectives. They have conducted various camps for ladies at the KLE Lingraj College, Jyoti College and at Shahapur. Camps for children are conducted during the summer vacations almost on an annual basis.
