GIT wins laurels at 23rd CSI Karnataka Student Convention

The students from Gogte Institute of Technology Belgaum won laurels for their college in Technical Paper, Web Designing & 2D Animation.
Computer society of India had organized the 23rd CSI Karnataka Student Convention at the Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore on 23rd and 24th October.
The theme of the event was Adaptation to Innovation of NextGen Technologies - A Paradigm Shift.
Over 1000 students participated in the event. The convention was inaugurated by Shri. Hans Raj Bhardwaj, the Governor of Karnataka.
Gogte Institute of Technology Belgaum won the following prizes:
- Technical Paper
- 2nd Prize: Sachin Bhat, 3rd Sem, CS - Paper Titled "Sanskrit Compiler"
- Consolation Prize: Gopal Samant and Hitesh Dharmdhasani, 5th Sem, CS - Paper Titled "Database Security - Beyond the password"
- Web Designing
- 1st Prize: Niraj Shah and Abhishek Deshpande, 5th Sem, CS
- 2nd Prize: Manoj M and Manas Vaze, 7th Sem, CS
- 2D Animation
- 2nd Prize: Niraj Shah and Abhishek Deshpande, 5th Sem, CS
The GIT team was skillfully guided by Prof. S. A. Kulkarni and the students under his guidance achieved laurels to the college.
