Belgaum petrol costs 50.48 And Diesel 37.14

After the honeymoon period of the UPA government is over here is the first slap on the face of the citizens.

Fuel prices have been increased, petrol by Rs.4 and diesel by Rs.2.

So the new prices are as below:

Petrol – Rs.50.48.

Diesel- Rs. 37.14

The rise in fuel prices will shoot up inflation which is now in negative territory to positive and worst hit will be the common man as with the rise in fuel prices of all commodities tend to increase.

Just before the elections were to be declared on January 28, 2009 fuel prices were reduced, it was a carrot and now is the stick. We all ate the carrot now it’s the turn for stick.

People will again for a couple of days shout at the govt. plan to use less fuel, and after a week all will be as it was.

The rise in price of Diesel will hit industries and business houses now running on diesel generators due to the 8-10 hour power black outs.

The govt. in its budget will also show some more stick as the fiscal deficit is going out of control. The politicians will increase their salary, DA, TA etc which increases the fiscal gap, why can’t the govt. also ask politicians to have a reduced salary & perks, as it was asked by the Air India for its employees recently.

God Bless India!

Life coming back to normal: Truckers strike still taking toll

10:03 AM Posted by ukmad

After the withdrawal of the strike of oil company officers the scene at the petrol bunks is now normal. I saw the Indian oil petrol bunks operational in the morning with normal queue of 3-4 persons. The situation yesterday was very bad due to panic buying.
One strike is over but the other one is still on, the truckers strike. The effect of this strike is now being seen. Vegetable prices have soared by 30%. The prices of fruits like banana and apple have risen by 30 to 40%. If the stir continues the impact of this stir will be much more than it is now.

Petrol No Stock: Hard times ahead in Belgaum
The effects of the strike by 50000 employees of the various oil companies are now visible all over the country Belgaum is no surprise either.

The stock of petrol has not come out from the oil depots and hence form today afternoon, a few since the morning had closed down the petrol pumps, and by night, the scene was very bad. Long queues were seen outside the pumps but no petrol was there.

Things will be bad tomorrow as people who had fuels today and who said lets fill it tomorrow, hope you get fuel.

The govt. is not taking any steps in getting away with the strike. If the govt, does not act in time and the strike is not called of all will be in trouble. The trucker’s strike is already hitting the pockets again due to shortage.

Come on Govt. Do something for the common person, Murali Deoraji, now do not sleep come and take off this strike do something, work at least this time.
