Subhash Photos, is a leading name in photography in Belgaum. For all needs of photography you just have to go to one of the outlets and all your desires fulfilled.

Innovativeness and getting the best in technology for the consumers is the mission of Subhash Photos and they abide by it all the while. Continuing in this consumer driven market, Subhash Photos is opening a new hi tech digital studio & Digital lab on Deshmkuh road, Tilakwadi.
The suburban market in Belgaum city has now grown towards the once residential areas. Deshmukh road is the heart of business activity and very centrally located and easily accessible. Sighting the same issues they decided to open a new outlet to serve the people more efficiently and professionally.
New lab at Torna Sankul (opp.Katti Studio) on Deshmukh road has been aesthetically designed keeping in mind the latest trends. At the new lab other than the normal printing of photos and sales of Cameras and its accessories, the USP is the personalized gifts and a hi-tech Design centre for all imaging desires.
The new lab will have a hi-tech design centre which will be designing just anything from a Hoarding design to greeting card or it might just be a photo frame.
Personalized gifts, i.e. your own photo on the mug or T-shirt are a very common concept in the metros but there was none locally in town. Subhash Photos, with their long term view have just brought this to Belgaum. You can get your own photo or of a loved one printed on a Mug or a T-shirt or a key chain. In the future the range of personalized gifts will be enlarged to personalized mouse pads, piggy banks, pencil box, teddy bears, coasters and much more.
In the mugs there are about 10 different varieties from which you can choose, range starts from Rs.295 onwards. The T-shirts are very common and any text matter can also be printed for which you will need to shell about Rs.495 or even more depending on the design. Now those old key chains are history you can have your own photo printed on the key chain which starts from Rs.85.
Another new concept launched is My Album, an album digitally made for your own self, like a photo of your son or daughter with only his or her photos. The studio has been furnished with the latest props and lighting for better photos. This lab will specialize itself in indoor photography like portfolio, group photos etc.
Now that the photos are printed you need a frame to put it in, and for this, you will get for the first time in north Karnataka imported photo frames with metal finish ranging from Rs.300 to 1200. The design centre will design special photos for frames to be put in your hall or board room. These designs will be one of special designs and the designs will not be repeated for different consumer.
The new lab of Subhash Photos will be a boon to Belgaum for sure. So just Click and you know where to go to print them, Subhash Photos, Deshmkuh Road, Somwar Peth, Tilakwadi, Belgaum.

General view of the Falls of Gokak, Konnur, Belgaum District
Photograph of the Gokak falls, taken by James Burgess around 1874. The Ghataprabha River that takes a 170-ft leap over a sandstone cliff in a picturesque gorge with a horseshoe shape creates the Gokak falls. On the sides of the river, there are several Chalukya medieval temples from the 11th - 12th centuries.

Angadi, Patil apologies to Kannada speaking people
11:47 AM Posted by ukmad
The Belgaum police have filed a first information report (FIR) against BJP candidate Suresh C. Angadi and MLA Sanjay Patil in connection with hoisting of a saffron flag on the new premises of Belgaum City Corporation (BCC) and allegedly making inflammatory speeches.
These politicians are hard to be understood. Take the above example of the two BJP leaders, who came on their own at the Corporation premises and when there was a spat with the MES activists Angadi proudly took the saffron flag and demanded it’s should be put up. Once this was done the Kannada activists demanded the removal of Angadi as the candidate and succumbing to their demand made an apology.
That day they both were there to show their support for Marathi people and when Kananda people arose they turned back. My point is here not to bring forth the language bias but the mentality of the politicians in general. Tomorrow you could see Angadi speaking in Marathi and again saying that saffron flag must be hoisted. They come to ask for the votes once in 5 years and the same situation is all over the country. Now how can one believe on the BJP candidate?
May what it be, this time the elections are not as simple as they were all these years. Development issues have never come up for discussions, the whole campaign might just go off in settling this issue alone.

Girls school
Photograph of the Girls' School at Belgaum in Karnataka from the Archaeological Survey of India Collections: India Office Series (Volume 46), taken by an unknown photographer in c. 1870. Female education in India grew dramatically in the latter part of the nineteenth century. The Imperial Gazetteer of India states regarding female education, "The Government did not take up the subject until 1849, when Lord Dalhousie informed the Bengal Council of Education that henceforth its functions were to embrace female education, and the first girls' school recognized by Government was founded shortly afterwards by a committee of native gentlemen. The dispatch of of 1854 directed that female education should receive the frank and cordial support of Government...The Education Commission of 1882 advised that female education should receive special encouragement and special liberality...The adoption of this attitude has resulted in a considerable development of the public instruction of girls, although it still lags far behind that of their brothers. In 1871 there were 134 secondary and 1,760 primary girls' schools; in 1901-2 the numbers were 461 and 5,628 respectively."
