Abhishek S. Navale makes Belgaum proud skates Longest Backward Limbo Skating

Belgaum has recently been on the sports map for one good reason and that is skating and especially Limbo skating. Chindak, Konkane and now Abhishek Navale a seven year old created a record by longest backward limbo skating. Abhishek S. Navale is a seven-year-old studying in A.V.H. English Medium School, Belgaum. His Sanjay Navale, his father who works as a bus conductor with the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation. Abhishek Navale (7) claimed a new record in “Longest Backward Limbo Skating Under Vehicles” when he glided under ten multi-utility vehicles in the presence of a large gathering on Darga Chowk premises in Sadalga town of Chikkodi taluk in Belgaum district. He claims to have made a record for “Longest Backward Limbo Skating Under Bars” as he successfully moved under bars providing a gliding space of only 8.7 inches and covering a distance of 62 feet, to a thundering applause from enthusiasts. He broke the record of 11-year-old Kaitlyn Conner of the U.S., who on July 28, 2008, created a world record by skating under 23 bars spread over 12 feet. He has skated 540 km from Bangalore to Belgaum in six days and has participated in several skating rallies aimed at spreading awareness on social issues ranging from AIDS to blood donation. He is now looking forward to see his name listed in the Limca Book of World Records, Guinness Book of World Records and Academy of World Records. Source: The Hindu
Rohan Kokane of Belgaum makes a record in skating

Rohan’s coach Suryakant Hindalgekar at Belgaum Roller Skating Academy claimed that Rohan created new world records indeed. All the evidences such as videos and other data about the event recorded would be sent to the Guinness World Records, the Limca Book of Records, and the World Records Academy.
I had posted a story earlier about the said event.
And the young lad has done it and makes us proud of such young kids breaking records. Keep it up Young guns….

Rohan Ajit Kokane Skating to glory

Rohan, son of Ajit Kokane of Belgaum, is working hard to create a history on Independence Day by skating under bars with a clearance height of 6 inches, not only in the forward direction but also in reverse skating.
If this happens, Rohan will be the second roller skater in the world after Zoey Beda of the U.S., who has earned nickname "Roller Limbo Princess" when she created a history by skating in reverse direction under 11 inches clearing height. But, Rohan will be setting a new world record by reverse skating under bars with 6 inches of clearing height.Suryakant Hindalgekar, Shashidhar Pol and Umesh Kalghatagi at the Belgaum Roller Skating Academy are training Rohan, a Class II student of St. Xavier’s School in the city.

Belgaum skater for Dhaka meet

Young roller skater Nikhil, son of Ramesh Chindak, has made his hometown Belgaum and family proud with his selection for the forthcoming 6th International Roll Ball Meet to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from June 6 to June 8.

Nikhil, who will join the Indian team, is being trained by his coaches Suhas Karekar and Suryakant Hindalgekar.
Belgaum's Aniket Chindak makes Limbo Skating record:81 cars this time

The boy Aniket Chindak had created a record of limbo skating under 51 Sumo vehicles in 43.31 seconds, in Feb 2007. The event was jointly sponsered by Rotary club of Belgaum and Roller Skating Academy here in Adarsh Nagar.
Sports Authority of India Director Suresh Harmilap, M S Tyagi and Roller Ball Federation of India Secretary Raju Dabade watched the event.
Thousands of Children, men and women cheered the boy during the event. He was felicitated by the District Collector. He now plans to go to Malaysiato do Snow Skating.
Six-year-old Aniket Chindak eyes 100-car limbo-skate world record

Aniket has already created an unofficial world record by squeezing himself under a row of 57 four-wheel drive cars in 45 seconds.
With legs split, chest bent forward and chin almost skimming along the road, Aniket is no more than eight inches above the ground when he vanishes under the vehicles in Belgaum.
