There are over 4,500 auto rickshaws in the city, of which about 300 had been fitted with CNG-kits. Cost of the kit ranged between Rs. 10,000 and Rs.15,000, it was not possible for all owners to obtain kits in a short period so additional time was also sought for the installation.

Teenagers partying at private farm at Kutalwadi near Belgaum had a tough time on Monday when villagers badly beat them who alleged that these students who were in semi nude condition were drunk and behaved badly to them and were making a lot of noise.
The villagers said such parties happen many a times and the scene is very similar. The villagers, infuriated over the parties continuing at the farmhouse, attacked the students and broke the windshields of some cars parked near the farm.
To add to it, farm owner Dharmu Desai said that these students which included 13 girls had not taken his permission. All most all the students were drunk and did not leave the farm house even after mid night.

BJP might win-but ground realty is different-exit poll

5:00 PM Posted by ukmad

An exit poll was conducted online by this website on the voting day.

BJP’s Suresh Angadi has 67% votes, Amarsinh Patil 24%, A B Patil 5%, Bhavi Kasturi 1%, VIJAYKUMAR UPADYA 1% & ASHOK HANAJI 2%.

To be frank I don’t agree by this exit poll. See the evidences in the recent poll that happened. The polling was quite subdued and the Marathi manoos this time voted in very small number and this is a big hit to BJP and the Minorities and others have voted on earlier lines which means Congress and JD S will gain in this circumstance. The sample size who voted in this exit poll were computer literate and mostly youngsters which cannot be taken for granted as the exit poll for the entire constituency. But to me and news pouring in of other exit polls is BJP will not do good in Mumbai Karnataka i.e. Belgaum Chikodi and Karwar. The difference of margin would be 15 to 20 thousand or even less.

The notable factor as I have been saying on this blog it’s not easy for BJP to retain this seat. Even though this exit poll shoes you that BJP is in the lead by a good margin it could just be the opposite also.

Politics is a funny game and you can’t predict the JANTA’s vote.

Disclaimer: The results of the exit poll are indicative in nature and the exit poll taken was on a sample of 143 only, which by any means will not represent the whole constituency. The entire poll was voluntary and online which means people who had access to the Internet only participated in the exit poll.

Whatever may be the result, but this was an earnest effort from my side to have an exit poll in Belgaum (I haven’t heard of exit poll in Belgaum till date done by local media). The margin of error here is Maximum, I did mistakes but this was first chance at this one, Next time it will be perfect. Now will this result hold good in real is to be seen & if it does give me a Thumbs up or a Thumbs down.

Sample size is not correct as it is too small. All Exit polls take caste as a major consideration, I havent done that either.

In the 143 how voted in the exit poll 97% were Males and only 3% femalesgender

The age group who participated was as followsage

No dount this poll shows BJP leading, the thruth could be different so stay tuned.

8:55 PM Posted by ukmad

Truck bearing No. KA 48 6062 coming from Gogte Circle going towards 1st gate hit a Tricycle moped on congress Road and injured one. Accident occurred at 8.35pm.

This particular accident, occurred near the Maratha Colony cross (ARUN) on Congress Road; when a tricycle moped broke down in the middle of the road and a young lad came to help move the tricycle from the main road to the side. When this truck ramped in from behind and the young lad was injured mostly on his back as the steel bar at the back of on the tricycle was smashed up. The driver of the tricycle however escaped without any injuries. The driver and cleaner of the truck ran away from the spot. The injured was rushed to the civil hospital in an auto.

The said truck has been brought aside with the help other truck drivers and now is kept at the Maratha Colony cross road.

Congress road is becoming a accident zone and at least 2-3 minor accidents occur on the road. The police needs to look at this seriously and take some measures to check the speed of vehicles on the road even when the Max speed limit is 40 kmph.

The truck was moved to the Traffic police station at 9.48pm
